The control center is a critical infrastructure operation with staffing around the clock on all days of the year. This makes the operations vulnerable for unwelcome sick leave.
The power company decided to install Whitebox Air Cleaner and Whitebox Mini disinfection box in one of the operations control centers.
– We are experiencing positive effects. Sure, people have been sick, but we can’t trace the infections to the workplace, says group leader Thommy Rönnholm.
Whitebox Air Cleaner has a built-in and patented UVC technology which, in combination with specially designed aluminum reflectors, effectively removes both bacteria and viruses from the air by almost 100 percent. The air purifier also effectively removes allergens from the air, which can be good in pollen times.
Whitebox Mini disinfection box effectively sanitize mobile phones, keys, data accessories, hand controllers and other things from both bacteria and viruses.
– The staff have taken a big responsibility in developing the routines and use of the products. They use the disinfection box regularly with everything from cell phones, computer accessories, keys to hand controls, says Thommy Rönnholm.
